MontratecThe TracSupply is used for supplying the power rails of the montrac® transport system with 24 VDC.
Via these conductor rails the shuttles are supplied with their energy during the ride. The 24 VDC output voltage is short-circuit-proof and open circuit-proof. Basically the device consists of a wall cabinet, a primary switched power supply, contactors and safety elements. For operating it is equipped with a main switch, an illuminated push button for switching on the supply and a button for switching off the machine.
An emergency-stop circuit with a safety switching device is available in order to bring the shuttles to an immediate stop in case of danger to persons. Additional emergency stop buttons can be integrated into this emergency-stop circuit. With the illuminated push button “Reset Emergency Stop” the system is brought back to ready state after an emergency stop.Furthermore it is also possible to turn the TracSupply on and off by means of an external PLC. To ensure that the conductor rail along the rail system will never be charged with more than the allowed 40 amps, the system must be divided by IsolationTrac into appropriate sections in case of the 2 x 40 amps version. The number of shuttle axles used decides on the power required for a plant.
