Smallest Threaded Switch Probe in the Market

Position tests even at smallest centers

With the new FEINMETALL switch probe F863 a position test even at centers of only 1,9 mm can be realized. The threaded switch probe works as a closer, this means it closes an integrated switch after having reached the switch travel of 3,5 mm whilst the nominal travel is 4,0 mm.

The position test with a switch probe works according to a very simple principle: if a component or a contact element is present, it activates the switch probe during the touch down and its presence is detected. If the component or the contact element is not in place, the plunger of the switch probe is not activated and the failure can be detected accordingly.

The switch probe F863 has a length of 30.2 mm, a projection height of 10.2 mm and a diameter of only 1.0 mm (collar 1.4 mm). It is available in different versions: you can choose between a round, flat or serrated tip style and the contact probes are available with spring forces of 80 and 150 cN.
